One thing is playing with a PC using Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, quite another to enter an IMAX and use new glasses StarVR, specially designed by Acer to offer a really different experience.

The project is the result of collaboration between Acer and Starbreeze, who launched the "helmet" StarVR to offer to theme parks. Today Acer announced already in process delivery IMAX Corporation, who hopes to install a new center of reality virtual in Los Angeles. The first of six that will open in the coming months.

These glasses have a wider field of vision than Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, as it shows a field of vision of 210 degrees, nearly double. What is not known is how much is the value of the entry of a show that use this technology, so we have to wait to launch by IMAX so we can better understand what they intend to develop with this technology of Virtual Reality.

The problems of vertigo and dizziness in general caused by the Virtual Reality still have not been solved properly. It seems that a possible solution is to work in the movement of the body to synchronize best with what we see on screen, although it is not known yet how they solved within an IMAX theater.
